Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator position will play a central role in administrative project management company-wide.  It requires strong inter-personal skills, extensive experience with writing, math, and computers, and top-level attention to detail.  The Project Coordinator will work directly with company Principals and Project Managers to develop proposals, oversee the company internal project management software, track budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients.  Marketing and social media experience is a plus.

We are seeking a motivated professional with a degree in, or demonstrable experience with, environmental science and management who understands our industry and the unique challenges in this dynamic profession.  The successful candidate will be organized, assertive, and driven, with proven ability to take a leadership role in seeking, developing, and managing large environmental projects.   

 

 

Job Tasks

 
  • Plan, organize and oversee company projects from the proposal stage, contract stage and project completion

  • Write proposals and manage new incoming proposal requests

  • Develops cost estimates based on knowledge of the project

  • Manage digital and hard copy files for each project

  • Document and track new proposals and projects in the project management software

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies and outside vendors

  • Act as a liaison between Accounting and Project Managers regarding project constraints

  • Contract management

  • Define the project’s objectives, deadlines, costs and oversee quality control throughout the entire project

  • Identify, assess, trouble shoot and minimize project risks until successful project completion

  • Assist Project Managers with schedule development and implementation

  • File management

 

 

Job Requirements

 
  • Accounting/Estimator experience

  • Excellent Customer Service

  • Client Development

  • Proficient in MS Office programs: WORD and Excel at a minimum

  • Strong writing and mathematical skills

  • Accomplished Multi-tasker

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Ecology, Restoration or Environmental Sciences or related field

  • Experience:  2-3 years of related experience related to acquired skills
