Dust Control Manager

Monitor fugitive dust emissions on large construction site

Supervise up to four (4) Air Control Monitors as needed
-
Maintain and oversee daily logs, monitoring activities and implementation of dust control measures

Has the authority to require and implement additional control measures
-
Advise and assist contractor with staying in compliance with dust control regulations at site
-
Implement necessary measures to minimize dust complaints and prevent transporting of dust offsite
-
Monitor to reduce visible emissions below 20% opacity
-
Minimize dust complaints and the transporting of dust off site
-
Keep accurate daily field notes
-
Prepare and file monthly reports to county agencies
-
Provide the APCD evidence that dust control measures are meeting the requirement of Rule 402
-
Adhere to all applicable environmental compliance rules and reports any violations
Job Summary
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
-
Must be able to walk 5 to 7 miles per day on relatively flat ground with day pack, water, supplies in variable weather conditions

Work long days in the field (10-12 hours)
Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
-
Visual Emissions Evaluation (VEE) Certification from the Air Resources Board
-
1 to 2 years related experience managing environmental compliance or dust control monitoring in a busy construction site
-
Good comunication skills required to communicate with various regulatory agency personnel, contractors and construction workers
-
Profecient MS Office skills. Must be able to work on a weekend or holiday when required

Able to drive company vehicles during various road conditions
