Workshop Description
The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the field protocols and methods a botanist needs to follow to satisfy minimum professional standards. The goal is to provide the professional field and consulting botanist with the regulatory background for conducting botanical field surveys according to various protocols and guidelines and practical methods that can be used to document botanical resources of a project site. This workshop will provide the field and consulting botanist and federal, state, and local agency biologists with practical knowledge of how to conduct field surveys on various types of projects that will fully support development of biological resource assessments to satisfy California Environmental Quality Act and National Environmental Policy Act reporting. It will include a practicum field exercise to provide hands-on demonstrations of various field methods to document the botanical resources of a project site. Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to the event will incur a 10% refund processing fee. Cancellations made after 30 days but before 7 days prior to the event will incur a 25% refund processing fee. No refunds or cancellations will be accepted within 7 days of the workshop date. Substitutions may be permitted on a case-by-case basis, ensuring price and attendance compatibility with the alternative workshop.
