Job Summary

  • Will be supporting Wildlife Biologists conducting surveys, natural resource monitoring, data collection, data management, data analysis and interpretation, and assisting. 

  • Conduct pre-construction and construction surveys for botanical and wildlife species

  • Conduct literature and database review for rare plant occurrences

  • Record daily observations in database for GIS and statistical analysis.

  • CEQA and NEPA planning and report writing related to biological resource assessment.

  • Working with a team of professional biologists, environmental scientists, botanists and species experts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, biology, wildlife management, Environmental Science or an equivalent degree

  • The successful candidate must have technical knowledge in biology, ecology, and the Endangered Species Act.

  • Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills, a proven ability to complete multiple tasks within deadlines









Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Must be able to walk 5 to 7 miles per day on relatively flat ground with day pack, water, supplies in variable weather conditions (windy, rainy, cold to 10 °F, heat to 110 °F)

  • Work long days in the field (10-12 hours)

  • Candidates must have basic skills in MS Office programs, some technical writing skills, must be a U.S. citizen, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check









Added Value Experience:


  • One to 2 years of related field experience

  • Biological construction monitoring
