Commitment to Safety
Althouse and Meade, Inc. places the safety of our staff and clients above all else. We’ve implemented a company Injury and Illness Prevention Program as well as site-specific safety plans for specific projects. Our philosophy of “Be vigilant, be careful, and come home safe” is not simply a collection of words. It’s our commitment. Our safety record speaks for itself. From January 2013 to December 2015, our employees have worked over 164,000 hours without incurring an OSHA-reportable injury. That’s the equivalent of nearly 79 person-years of working without a significant injury.
All employees performing field work are provided with proper safety gear and trained for its appropriate use including:
Resipirators to prevent respiratory illness
Tongs and Chaps for safely capturing and relocating rattlesnakes
Hydration gear to prevent heat illness
Hard hats, safety vests, and work boots
