Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas

Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas (or Environmentally Sensitive Areas), as defined by the United States Fish & Wildlife Service, are locations where Covered Species or other biological resources have been identified that require some measure of active protection during the implementation of a project. Buffers are established to isolate the ESA from Covered Activities according to the resource in question.
